Mother Of Martin St. Louis Passed Away Suddenly Yesterday

from Andrew Gross of Ranger Rants,

Very sad news today as the Rangers have confirmed that Marty St. Louis’ mother, France, passed away suddenly on Thursday at the age of 63.

France St. Louis was reportedly hospitalized and suffered a heart attack while in the hospital.

St. Louis, who grew up in Laval, Que., reportedly returned to the Montreal suburb to be with his family. The Rangers provided no update on St. Louis other than confirming his mother’s passing.

Hockey is obviously secondary in the face of St. Louis’ family situation. The Rangers are here in Pittsburgh for Friday night’s Game 5 of their Metropolitan Division final against the Penguins, facing elimination.
