Morning Line

Crosby, we hope, has much more to give hockey, and in a perfect world, the concussion woes never return after he’s shaken this latest nightmare.

But it doesn’t take much imagination to envision a different picture, of a diminished, cautious Crosby returning whenever he decides he’s able, but never again quite as recklessly exuberant and commanding on the ice as Sid The Kid used to be before the shadow descended.

However it turns out, whenever and in whatever form he comes back, he will never be that kid again.

Fans not care? I suppose. Even as a Pens fan, it is too hard (and too painful) to follow this unpredictable saga. It is best to think the worst and be surprised by the best. But Cole must not know Crosby very well if he’s thinking that he is a has-been already. I don’t think anybody should ever underestimate the competitiveness and will of Crosby. You may not like him, but you can’t argue with his drive to be the best. I think he will “will” himself back, and maybe even better than before.

I am no Crosby fan, but, he is a very talented player. It is a shame that he is having so much trouble recovering.

Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!
