Look, they threw Pearn under the bus. They say he’ll have another job in the organization if he wants to stay–they still owe him his salary. This is the same guy they went hard to keep in the summer of 2010 when he seriously thought of taking the Edmonton Oil Kings’ junior post. Pearn and Derek Laxdal, who’s done a nice job as head man, were the front-runners with current Oilers’ farm team coach Todd Nelson also in the mix.
Pearn took the fall in Montreal. But, the GM who can talk all he wants about Pearn being a good man (blah, blah, blah), has to look in the mirror. What kind of job has he done?
