Kukla's Korner Hockey

Morning Line

Never put anything into an email that you wouldn’t be fine with seeing in print on the front page of a national newspaper. If you’re a Bruins fan, you’re now forever justified in bitching that every call went against you because Colin Campbell hates Marc Savard. If you want your team to be treated favourably, acquire Greg Campbell, because Colin Campbell will watch all your games and bitch about bad calls. Also, it would appear that if you’re a GM and you’re not constantly filling Campbell’s ear in an attempt to get the refs you like you like, you aren’t doing your job.

Oh and one more - if you suspect that the NHL is run by bozos (in fairness to Walkom, I don’t think he comes off poorly in the emails, although he wasn’t found to be a particularly credible witness), Campbell’s emails aren’t going to do a lot to convince you otherwise. Funny stuff.

Greg Brady, who hosts the show on Fan590 did not agree with them.  Greg is talking about it now on Fan590.

Well Mom always said, “Don’t play ball in the house…”

Oh, the other Greg Brady

Basically they came to the defense of Campbell while brushing off Tyler as just another blogger.

Thanks Paul.

That’s too bad.

It’s pretty clear that Tyler isn’t “just another blogger,” and it’s pretty clear that these aren’t just wild claims. If Kypreos and MacLean have an issue with this, they should talk it up with their boy Colie, because the facts came from the Canadian legal system and public record, they weren’t fabricated.

Kypreos and MacLean should be ashamed that they aren’t running with this story and digging up more dirt, after all, it is their damn job.

You would think. But then taking one look at Kypreos makes me want to buy insurance from Geico. What cave did this guy crawl out of?

Every hockey ‘expert’ from Sportsnet is a complete joke. I wouldn’t expect those morons to ever dig for some real information.

They’re part of the old-boys club and would never think about looking into a sordid affair concerning one of their brethren.

I’m half surprised they’re not all wearing a ‘Skulls’ ring.

Surpised they aren’t calling Allan Eagleson as a character witness as well.

Colin Campbell should not be making those emails via his NHL account and probably shouldn’t be making those comments to anyone except his closest friends.  As far as favoritism to his son, I can’t find an example now, but am I wrong to be thinking that anytime his son’s team was involved in a decision, he excused himself and someone else made the decision or am I dreaming that?
