“I think we’re way better than we were last year. I believe our defense is eight deep and probably the best defense in the league this year. And if your defense is really good, it instantly makes your goaltending really good.
“And we’ve got lots of scoring up front. Our young players are now 24 or 25, but they still have four or five years of experience and they should, for the next five or six years, be in their primes.”

I don’t think Penguins fans should brag about goaltending until Fleury bounces back to form, preferably helped by an improved defence. In essence Philadelphia and Pittsburgh applied similar strategies to reduce goals against.
Generally speaking, Philadelphia looks good on paper, which makes for another interesting season in the Atlantic division.
