Morning Line- Joe Starkey

So again, under normal circumstances, I’d say Rutherford was way out of line. But that would be ignoring the fact that John Tortorella coaches the Blue Jackets — and Tortorella has never been one to mind his business. So why should anyone else?

Tortorella’s mere existence invites antagonism. He had a chance to be the bigger man here, but at 5-foot-8 and with skin as thin as tinfoil, he is rarely the bigger man. He may, in fact, be the all-time best example of “Napoleon Complex,” maybe better than Napoleon himself (although Napoleon won more big games).

-Joe Starkey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on the yesterday's back and forth between Jim Rutherford and John Tortorella. Read more on this topic.
