You can already tell by polarized debate; nothing will change with goalie gear or size of the nets. Dead Puck Era II likely to continue.

The game only changes a decade ago because of lost season. Difficult to make major change when teams have standings to think about.

Sad thing is there's always this Tea Party element in hockey. Go back to red line, more fighting, etc. Like it was better then.

There's always been this fear of offence in hockey. Very strange. A fear of allowing talent to shine. More comfort with grinders, checkers.

Odd ppl so against increasing net size because it's too "drastic." Like there hasn't been a drastic change in goalie style, equipment size?

Doubtful any other sport would allow 25% drop in offence way NHL has over last 20 years.

If you missed it, Colin Campbell said the goalie equipment will be smaller for the 2016-17 season.
