Morning Line- Cam Ward

"We have a lot of loyal and great fans in Carolina, but it's no secret that the attendance is always a little bit low. I'm looking forward to … playing in front of a sold-out building and passionate fans."

-Cam Ward of the Chicago Blackhawks.  More from and on Ward by John Dietz of the Chicago Daily-Herald.

Don’t worry Cam, if the Hawks keep losing you’ll feel like you’re back in Carolina. (ref CHI 1999 to 2007)

Yeah Cam. If Chicago keeps losing they may eventually drop down from number f*cking one in the league in attendance.

If you wanted to play in front of a packed house then you probably should’ve signed that one-year deal with another team, not the one that has had the highest attendance in the league for a decade.

Thinking Ward will play really well this year. Even in his off years, he always put great games together when they visited Toronto, Montreal, etc.

Look at his career splits, specifically his SV % against each opponent.

SV % vs. Boston .917 Chicago .943 Detroit .918 NYR .917 Montreal .914 Toronto .908

SV % after the ASG .915

By month April .916 May .916

In the playoffs .917

Good goalie when he’s locked in.
