More Games On NBC

via the NY Post (reg. req.),
On the heels of last night's Game 7 of the Stanley Cup, NBC has decided to add four more regular season games and three more post-season dates beginning next season. NBC will now broadcast 10 regular season games and up to - depending on how long the Stanley Cup Finals go - 17 post-season games beginning next year. Although the amount of TV coverage is only slightly increased, it is a nice step for the NHL. After missing last season, the NHL returned with a cable package on OLN instead of ESPN, which left many hockey fans unable to watch a significant portion of the NHL. OLN will continue to broadcast the first two games of the Stanley Cup before it moves to NBC.
