Mogilny- “We Must Play Wherever We Want”

Alexander Mogilny reportedly spoke with Sport-Express and had this to say about the Malkin situation.
“I can’t judge as I don’t know all the details of this story. I have learned the news from the press. But one thing is clear: if a player wants to play in NHL, he must not be kept. He has the right to choose where to play,” says Mogilny. He does not think that Malkin chose NHL for financial reasons only: “Though it is not a secret that in America the economic situation is more stable than in Russia. The living standards, human relations are absolutely different. What I want to say is that we, the players, are not slaves, we are free people. We must play wherever we want.”
This comes from Regnum News Agency which reports on Russian News.
