Modin Denied Request To Party In Sweden

from the Tampa Tribune,
Modin called the Lightning from Turin on Sunday after Sweden's 3-2 victory against Finland and requested permission to attend the celebration, which drew thousands of cheering, flag-waving Swedes to a public square on Monday. He said he was the only Swedish player not to attend. "Obviously, I'm very disappointed not being able to go," Modin said. "I don't want to stir anything up. I asked if I could go and I couldn't go. Let's leave it at that."
