My advice to the Wings: don’t get caught up in the shenanigans. You have an unexpected 1-0 series lead on a still very dangerous team. Focus on winning, not Lucic’s thuggery.

The sweetest revenge would be knocking off the #1 seed, nothing else compares.

Ahh, I get it now. You can spear someone else’s junk and just get a slap on the wrist, but you can’t touch your own or you’ll pay dearly. Good job NHL!!

That’s funny. So if you handle the balls it’s a $25k fine, but if you whack the balls it’s only $5k.

Wonder what the fine for this is:

By the way, did some math. Lucic’s fine is 0.1% of his salary. Quennville’s salary is not public but assuming it’s roughly the same as Babcock’s $2 million, his fine for the other night is 1.25%.

So Q’s 1-second grab cost him ten times as much as Lucic’s disgusting from-behind spearing. WTF!

Anyone expecting a suspension was fooling themselves. But this puts him into repeat-offender territory so the next transgression - and there usually is with Lucic - might cost him a game. Probably not, since it’s still the NHL playoff rules…

Legwand got $5K for his buttend to Malkin.
Neal got $5K for his cross check to the head of Glennie.
Lucic got $5K for his spearing to 65DD.

Just waiting on the same to Dorky Fairy’s spearing on Jamie Benn.
