Mike Weber Re-Signs With Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY (July 4, 2011) – Buffalo Sabres GM Darcy Regier announced today the Sabres have re-signed defenseman Mike Weber to a multi-year contract.
Weber (12/16/1987, 6’2”, 211 lbs.) played a career-high 58 games this season, and led all Sabres in hits with 158. The 23-year-old Weber also posted career highs in goals (4), assists (13) and points (17), giving him 20 points in 81 career NHL games with Buffalo. Weber played in all seven games of Buffalo’s first-round playoff series against Philadelphia, and was third on the team with 17 hits.
