McSorley Being Recognized

from the Contra Costa Times,
It's one thing to try to replace a franchise player. But replacing a franchise broadcaster? That's the task at hand for new Sharks television analyst Marty McSorley, who has taken over for the enormously popular Drew Remenda. Not only was Remenda well-liked by Sharks fans as a broadcaster, he may have been the most popular member of the organization, including players and coaches. "I don't think it's out of bounds to say that maybe until Joe Thornton showed up, Drew was the face of the team," Sharks TV play-by-play man Randy Hahn said. "Patrick Marleau could walk through Valley Fair Mall (in San Jose) and get recognized. If Drew did, he'd get mobbed."
