McKee Breaks Hand After Returning From Knee Injury

The Blues were just as amazed about the defeat, and for them it wasn't even the biggest loss of the night. Defenseman Jay McKee, who was making his Blues debut, suffered a broken hand on his third shift and will miss an estimated four to six weeks. McKee was blocking a shot off the stick of Rory Fitzpatrick when the puck hit him. "I don't know when that cloud is going to leave us," Blues coach Mike Kitchen said, referring to the string of injuries to the club's key defensemen over the last half-dozen years.
