McErlain On Scheduling And More

Via NBC, Eric McErlain on a variety of topics,
Count me down as another voice in favor of junking the current system. As others have often noted, the league's best rivalries have been created by hard fought playoff series, not endless battles during the regular season. Case in point: The conflict between Colorado and Detroit in the mid-1990s where bad blood in the playoffs inevitably spilled into subsequent regular season play.
