Kukla's Korner Hockey

May The Least Bad Team Win

from the Montreal Gazette,
Both teams are thoroughly mediocre. The stakes - a bottom-feeder's berth in the playoffs and a probable quick exit at the hands of Ottawa or Carolina or Buffalo - are hardly worth fighting for. One team is captained by a Swede, one by a Finn. Four weeks ago, Mats Sundin and Saku Koivu filled the same two positions in a game that really mattered, for Olympic gold.
