-Is Vancouver planning a trade? One source suggests that it’s possible. “There are rumors of Ed Jovanovski, Todd Bertuzzi, or Dan Cloutier being traded,” says our insider. “If anyone is traded, however, it will be Brendan Morrison. He’s been Marc Crawford’s whipping boy on and off for years. Despite Brendan’s substandard start, he should make the Canadian Olympic Team and thus have value. -This may sound sacrilegious, but Mario Lemieux [minus-16] has been as much a detriment as an on-ice asset to the Penguins. -Flyers boss Ed Snider – he’s the sole owner on the Competition Committee – is fed up with “diving,” as we are as well. “The officials have to start calling the dives and not just the penalties,” asserts Snider. “They seem reluctant to call it because they are not absolutely sure it is a dive.”read on
