Overall, the future Hall-of-Famer has compiled a 688-394-176 record to go along with a 2.24 goals against average, a .912 save percentage and 124 shutouts.  He holds most major regular season NHL goaltending records, including most games played (1,259), most minutes played (74,083), most wins and most shutouts, while in postseason history, he ranks first in starts (204) and shutouts (24) and second in wins (113).

Internationally, the Montreal, Quebec, native is a three-time Olympian for Team Canada, earning a Gold Medal in both 2002 and 2010.  He also garnered Silver Medals at the 1996 and 2005 World Championships.

Last season, Brodeur appeared in 39 games for the Devils, posting a 19-14-6, including a 2.51 goals against average, a .901 save percentage and three shutouts.

Reports are $700K for Brodeur plus salary incentives built in the contract.

I just hate to see his name on the Blues jersey.  I value his competitiveness and desire to keep playing, but it’s unfortunate the way this all happened.
