It was not that long ago that the hockey world was wishing the former NHL goaltender good luck in his post playing career when he abruptly retired early this season.
MSG Network announced this morning that they Biron will be doing pregame, intermission and postgame studio coverage starting tomorrow (Tuesday, November 12) when the Rangers will host rival New Jersey Devils.

Stepping into broadcasting for retired NHL goaltenders has become a bit of a trend if you look around the different national and team specific broadcast teams. This season Fox Sports Detroit brought on former Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, and New York Islanders netminder Chris Osgood in what looks to be a similar role that Biron will have with MSG.
The question remains – will Biron kick off his broadcast career with a sit-down interview with Martian Brodeur the way Osgood did with Patrick Roy?
Here is to what will hopefully be another successful transition to a post-playing career.
