Mark Bell’s Return To The NHL

“After four years of being away from the NHL to come back, it’s probably, when he sits down tonight, a deep sense of satisfaction,” Boudreau said.
Bell said he felt “energized and excited about the moment.” His last NHL game April 5, 2008 while with Toronto against Montreal and there were certainly times in the interim where he felt that his chances at getting back into the NHL were slim and none.
“You got to be your biggest supporter,” he said. “You don’t want to doubt yourself. There’s obviously some dog days where you going through stuff like that.
“I try to not to doubt myself. But you have some tough days and it creeps in. For the most part, I just believed in myself.”
