via the Minnesota Wild,
Fresh on the heels of scoring an overtime goal last night in Dallas, defenseman Marco Scandella will have another reason to smile this evening. The Wild has signed the blueliner to a five-year contract extension through the 2019-20 campaign.
“Marco has shown tremendous improvement in his career and is one of the best young, two-way defensemen in the NHL,” said Fletcher. “He is a hard-working, energetic player who is just scratching the surface of his potential in the NHL.”
