No doubt.

A great signing by the Blueshirts nonetheless, Staal is a rock just like his brothers.

Now, how can Sather erase the Redden and Rozsival deals?  Those guys were given monster contracts in offseasons where “premium” defensemen weren’t available.

Certainly something to keep an eye as it relates to a few teams around the NHL this past summer.

Finally.  I was really hoping the Rangers would lock up this guy.

wow, that is a great signing for the rangers.  Seriously, it is about time Sather signs someone at a good dollar amount.  In the past, he would have been signed two months ago at 6 million a year.

almost 4 million for staal sounds about right ... though i’d have loved to see him signing with any other team but the rangers *g*

but if you compare boogaard’s contract to staalsy’s, the latter should’ve gotten about 8 mil per season ...
