There are only a couple more days remaining in preliminary-round play here in Torino, and that means the marathon days at the rink will come to a close. That's both good and bad news. The good news is there will be much more time to concentrate on the games at hand on a given day. The bad news is there will be fewer games. Since the hockey tournament began, we have been setting up shop at one of the two hockey venues, usually getting there around 11 a.m. for a 1 p.m. start and leaving around 1:30 a.m. after the last game is completed. I'm beginning to think this should be an Olympic event in itself because there is a distinctive skill set to covering three games in a day.read on
