from the Edmonton Sun,
Lupul is part of a revamped team in Philadelphia. The Flyers were big players in the off-season, signing free agent Daniel Briere and acquiring the likes of goaltender Martin Biron, defenceman Kimmo Timonen and forward Scott Hartnell.
“Any time you get to go to a new team it’s exciting,” Lupul said.
“It’s a fresh start. I could tell from the first day that the Flyers are a first-class organization. They do things right and they definitely treat their players well.
“They’ve helped me out a lot and they’ve made it easy for all of the new guys to feel welcomed there.”
Getting an opportunity to play in the East is also appealing to Lupul, who up to now has only known the rigours of playing for Western teams.
