Thanks for the nice post, Paul.  I still can’t believe we pulled it off.  This team transformed itself so well over the past 4 months.  So many subtle moves that added together made a big difference. Wow.

Somebody needs to explain to the Kings fans that they are to boo Bettman.

TG, I believe Bettman’s name was never announced, I am sure that helped cut down the booing.

That could be, but that’s one of my favorite traditions.

They booed at the start but then he tricked them with that Luuuuuuuc stuff.  If I was there I wouldn’t have stopped booing. Amateurs.

Kudos to LA for not getting sucked into the BS.

Parise? Pack your bags…Mr. Illitch has Red Bird III waiting to shuttle you to a Tigers game.

There were no fans at the game.  Just hollywood frontrunners.  When was the last time bettman wasn’t booed?  That’s because none of those “fans” knew who he was.

Congrats to LA, a long-deserved cup there.

Let’s begin the Summer of Ken.

(oh and to my Devils friends, sorry guys, just take the time to remember how hard ‘95, ‘00, and ‘03 were to win and how good Marty was there.  We know your pain.)

(ok Maybe ‘95 wasn’t that hard…)

Yes, there were no fans there because they didn’t boo Bettman.  It’s not like they were enjoying winning their first Stanley Cup or anything.  How dumb.

Congrats to the Kings!

Congrats to kings especially for gagne, hextall and Williams. I really beginning to think we saw the end of a Hall of Fame Career for Martin Brodeur.

Congrats to the Kings. No more nonsense about being the eigth seed or not being deserving. The best team won and that is why they play the Final. The regular season is not meaningless, but it isn’t a gaurantee of success either.  No one seemed to complain when Roy stole a Cup for the Habs.

The Kings came together and had a pretty dominant run. Can they repeat? Who cares? Not many teams ever will and if it takes capturing lightning in a bottle for nine weeks then I think that is more than long enough to be deserving champs. I was hoping to see the Devils win it just to finally earn some respect, but after 40 plus years I can’t say I am disappointed to see the Kings finally win it all.

Had to post this as one of my favorite YouTube users, oakcreektv, finally posted his LA Kings Cup victory video montage.  Kings fans, I think you’re gonna like it.

His best work is Manchester City’s unbelievable season ending victory over QPR to win their first EPL Championship in 44 years.
