OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has added additional pieces to the team's rebuild by acquiring two second-round draft choices (2020 and 2021) along with 23-year-old forward Anthony Duclair from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for forward Ryan Dzingel and a seventh-round draft pick (previously acquired from Calgary) in 2019.

The acquisition of the two second-round draft picks provides Ottawa with up to 16 potential selections (including conditional picks) in the first three rounds of the next three NHL Drafts.

"We're pleased with the futures we've received in this deal," said Senators general manager Pierre Dorion. "The two second-round picks add to the significant depth of quality selections we'll have available to us in the next three drafts to fuel our rebuild."

"In Anthony Duclair, we've acquired a talented young winger who has a history of scoring goals in the league. We plan to give him the opportunity to succeed here and expect that his speed and skill set will allow him to fit as part of our future."

Duclair, 23, was originally selected by the N.Y. Rangers in the third round (80th overall) in the 2013 Draft. He has registered 108 points (48 goals, 60 assists) in 266 career NHL games with the Rangers, Arizona Coyotes, Chicago Blackhawks and Blue Jackets. His best NHL season occurred in 2015-16, when he scored 20 goals and earned 24 assists with Arizona.

Internationally, the 5-11, 193-pound native of Pointe-Claire, Que., recorded eight points (four goals, four assists) and won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.
