I receive all kinds of emails, asking, requesting, advising etc.
Last night this one and since it is slow, let's get on the Jimmy Foster bandwagon.
I noticed your Website and would like to make a recommendation for the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Hall of Fame. I think the GOALIE of the 1936 Gold Medal Winter Olympic Great Britain Ice Hockey Team JIMMY FOSTER deserves to be inducted into The IIHF Hall of Fame. He stopped 219 of the 222 Shots He faced during the 1936 Winter Olympic Ice Hockey Tournament playing the GOALIE Position on a Great Britain Team that was often outplayed by its Opponents during those Olympic Games.
His Save Percentage of 0.986 is even Higher than those of Jack McCartan, Jim Craig and Dominik Hasek during their Olympic upset Victories. For any Goalie that has played at least 5 Games in an Olympic Tournament Jimmy Foster has the Highest Save Percentage and lowest Goals Against Average of any Goalie in Winter Olympic Ice Hockey History!
Could you put in a word for me to the IIHF for Goalie Jimmy Foster to be inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame? Thank You, Bob...
Joe Pelletier of Greatest Hockey Legends has the story of 'Jimmy the Pastor' Foster.
