Let The Amateurs Play

Stuck in cramped Olympic Village headquarters, halfway across the world, with no real reason to be there. Sure, an end is in sight, but it's time to start thinking about the big picture, the end to this charade. The end to the idea that the best "team" would be a bunch of NHL stars put on a plane and set to win gold. NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman force-fed it down the owners' throats eight years ago under the guise of it being great publicity for the NHL. He said that it would show just how international the game has become and the talent level that exists every night at a city near you.
