Leighton Likely To Get The Start

via Pierre LeBrun of ESPN,

Flyers coach Peter Laviolette did not announce outright his starting goalie, but hinted strongly at going back to Michael Leighton.

“Our goaltender has the best numbers in the playoffs, I don’t think I have to announce it,” Laviolette told reporters during media availability Tuesday afternoon after practice.

Leighton twice has been pulled in the Cup finals, including Game 5 in Chicago.

I think going with Leighton is the right call, but any sign of his game being off, he will be replaced.

Leighton’s the right choice, until he acts like the sieve he was last game.  That’s the way to seal off the near post.

I agree. I think Boucher still isn’t 100% and he didn’t look like he could flex or move quickly like he did before the injury. If Boucher had stood on his head over the last 2 periods, it would have been a no brainer to put him in, but he didn’t so going back with Leighton is the right choice in this case.
