Kukla's Korner Hockey

Last night surprised me. I expected Boston to beat Toronto and Philadelphia to take care of Columbus.
But it did not happen and even more surprising was Carolina beating Dallas and Calgary winning convincingly over Tampa Bay.
Yes I understand Toronto and Columbus had more to play for but I would have expected at least one of the two teams to be on the losing end.
This time of year I will now say anything goes and will leave it up to the experts.
I find myself rooting with my heart and not my head when it comes to NHL hockey.
Many of you know I am a Detroit Red Wings fan but a very objective fan too.
I try to downplay any emotional ties to the Wings this time of year but there is that little voice in my head that says "always a chance."
It has always amazed my on how many times the experts are right more than they are wrong.
Even though I consider myself a die-hard hockey fan, picking the outcome of a game is not my thing.
I will be looking at the betting side of hockey on a regular basis and it should heat up once the playoffs start
