Learning “Curve”

"Oh great, we'll get more shots at our heads," said defenceman Robyn Regehr after the NHL decided to add a quarter-inch more to the bowing of the blade. "The shots will come in high, that's my concern." No Flames seemed eager to try out a bigger bend, although captain Jarome Iginla said he gave it a shot this summer. "I tried a little over the summer when I heard rumblings but it's more what you're used to," said Iginla. "A lot of European players had gotten used to it growing up but I've never used that big of a hook and probably won't change my curve. That's not to say down the road I never will."
