Late Evening Line

“I was watching the Rangers-Devils game [Wednesday night] and I’m thinking ‘I should be playing [Thursday] to see if I can play against them.  ou think that after waiting so long [to win two playoff series] that a sense of accomplishment would be there. But if anything, the frustration is worse.

“Your goal is to win, to win it all. We thought we had a shot at it. But we congratulate L.A. and wish them well in the Final.”

-Shane Doan of the Phoenix Coyotes.  More on Doan and the Coyotes from Jerry Brown at NHL.com.

This league is turning into a bunch of whiners and babies. I’m starting to lose interest. Fast.

Doan’s in full damage-control mode here.

“our whole team acted like babies when we lost and then whined about conspiracy theories to anybody who would listen, but I’m totally all about wishing those guys the best now.  See how grown up I am?”

Eat shit, Doan.
