Langenbrunner Remains Captain Of The Devils

from Tom Gulitti of Fire & Ice,

Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello and new head coach John MacLean ended any speculation about Jamie Langenbrunner’s future with the organization by stating unequivocally during today’s news conference that Langenbrunner will remain the team’s captain.

“John and I have had this conversation and no one should read into anything,” Lamoriello said. “Jamie Langenbrunner is our captain. John feels strongly on that. I feel strongly on that and I’d like to put that to rest.”

MacLean agreed.
