If you went to bed early of missed the game, here is how the latst ninute or so of regulation played out plus OT.
Edmonton thinks they have tied the game at 1 with about 66 ticks left on the clock....
Then Nail Yakupov did tie the game with 4.7 seconds left...
Finally, Sam Gagner wins it in OT...

While I’m usually not a fan of a player skating away from their teammates after they score, that was a heck of a slide by NY down to the other end of the rink.

I’m sorry, but what is the problem on celebrating away from your teammates?

The entire Oilers squad should have done the flying V and then all slid on their knees from the Kings’ blue line.

Have no problem showing some emotion there
Hell of a Slide too Theo Fleury would be proud

Yakupov had one goal disallowed earlier thanks to a blind ref, so I can understand his emotions completely.

My guess is the disallowed goal had more to do with the blatant cross check on Doughty to clear the front of the net more than the incidental contact with Quick. Goal was disallowed for the wrong reason.

The prevalent mentality is that since Hockey’s a team sport, you celebrate with your teammates. This seems pretty obvious.

While I have no love for the punk Oilers, that was a great finish.
