I think 2-3 games is appropriate.  It was a reckless play.

2 games which is fine - his play hasn’t been good lately anyway.

Our defensive next year is really gonna be in trouble IF Lidstrom retires and Stuart leaves.
They HAVE to get either Suter or Weber.

3 tough games left . . . St. Louis, New Jersey and the Hawks.
Lose all three in regulation and I think they will get that coveted 6th spot.
Please, no more injuries to the BIG THREE (Jimmy, Pavel and Hank) in these last 3 games.

Definitely agree, 2 or 3 games is fair and reasonable. Just glad it looks like Kopecky is alright. I don’t think there was intent to hit Kopecky that high, but Quincey was definitely careless in that situation and really could’ve/should’ve come in and played the puck.

It was a dirty, stupid play. I was glad the wings got Quincey back, but his play has not impressed me at all. I’d much rather have B. Smith on the blue line than this careless player.

I’d put it at three but I’m afraid it will be less because Kopecky wasn’t hurt.

Brendan Smith has played really really well. Along with Nyquist, the only real great bright spots of the last month.

Quincey is a good D, people should stop overreacting to a month of hockey from him. The team as a whole has been bad, in large part because of the lack of continuity with the revolving door of injuries. Singling out Quincey is just looking for the easiest scapegoat.

If the Wings don’t get it on track and have success in the playoffs, it will have been a team “effort,” to be sure.

That’s funny because even Babcock thought he was bad enough that he sat him for a game as a healthy scratch.

Quincey is doubly under the microscope because he was the only real movement at the trade deadline. He was the piece to make the team complete. He was to fill the role vacated by Commodore (which Commodore never really had), and he hasn’t even done that very well. So part of the disappointment is with his sloppy, undisciplined play. The other part is that he was the big hope at the deadline. Bah.

He has made Errorson look better by contrast.

3 Makes sense. Most of the guys that lept and got head seemed to get 3 unless they were a serial repeat offender like Sutton or something.

For someone who’s questioned Babcock’s every move as of late…

He was the piece to make the team complete.

And that’s the problem.  Holland took this lifeless team and added a #5 defenseman so everyone looks at it as if he’s the final piece of the puzzle when all he really is at this point is a depth defenseman.  When he was playing in the #5 slot at the beginning of his tenure everyone was raving but when d-men started going down and he was thrust into bigger roles, now he’s apparently a bust.

I feel like since that Philly game where Kronwall got Voracek, he hasn’t played the same.  Thought after that hit, the rest of the game the team played scared.  There’s definitely an uncomfortability in the D corp with the system they’re using.  Even Stuey has looked bad out there consistantly.  I don’t know how many odd man rushes stuey and kronners have given up last month but as a whole the D corp doesn’t have an identity, they aren’t a solid unit.

Q just looks especially bad and I think we had more expectations of him because of the situatiions he’s played in since he left.  I think that was more a move made for off-season reasons than helping the team this year for the playoffs.
