Here are my favorite plays tonight to help you beat Paul!

Saturday’s Value Plays

RW – Daniel Alfredsson – Ottawa Senators – $77,843

Alfredsson is definitely past his prime but that doesn’t make him a bad play on Saturday. The Senators want to make sure they don’t fall into the 7th or 8th slot in the playoffs and you can be sure their captain will be leading the charge. He has points in back to back games to go along with 4 penalty minutes and 6 shots on goal. I expect that to continue on Saturday.

C – Tyler Seguin – Boston Bruins - $105,866

The Bruins play 6 games in 8 days to finish the season and they’ll throw everything at the Capitals on Saturday night to clinch the 2nd seed in the East, allowing them to rest their top stars on Sunday. Seguin has 3 points in his last 4 games to go along with a +3 rating and 17 shots on goal.

C – Steven Stamkos – Tampa Bay Lightning - $136,380

The only thing that’s better than having a player motivated to win a game in fantasy sports is to have him motivated to score points. Stamkos is 3 goals behind OV for the Rocket Richard trophy and 2 points behind his teammate Martin St. Louis for the scoring title. I expect a very motivated game from Stamkos and think he’s one of the expensive stars to target on Saturday.

RW – Martin St. Louis – Tampa Bay Lightning - $128,596

St. Louis is 2 points up on Stamkos in the race for the Art Ross trophy at the age of 37. I know - that’s insane. Keeping him out of your lineup would be equally insane.

C – Brandon Dubinsky – Columbus Blue Jackets - $89,675

It’s win or go home for the Blue Jackets. Dubinsky has 9 points in his last 9 games to go along with 37 penalty minutes and 13 shots on goal. If Columbus is going to make a last stand it starts with the top line.

D – Fedor Tyutin – Columbus Blue Jackets - $61,651

Tyutin is a great value on the blueline. He has 5 points in his last 6 games and is an astounding +7 during that time. Do yourself a favor and start him.

C – Charlie Coyle – Minnesota Wild - $61,651

Coyle has seen a recent bump in his ice time and he’s been rewarding the team with strong play. Coyle has 3 points in his last 4 games, great value at his price point on Saturday. Even if Minnesota wins on Friday night they’ll still have plenty to play for on Saturday. I think anyone in the West would rather play the Ducks than the Blackhawks.

Henrik Zetterberg – LW – Detroit Red Wings - $109,516

With 7 points in his last 3 games he’s a must start. The Wings could miss the playoffs for the first time in 23 years. My gut tells me Henrik won’t let that happen.
