from Hockey Refs,
Czech NHL player Pavel Kubina has been fined over 14,000 euros by a judge in his home country for slandering a referee. Kubina, who took refuge with HC Vitkovice in the Tipsport Extraliga during the 2004-2005 NHL lockout, accused referee Petra Bolina of taking bribes after Vitkovice was eliminated from the playoffs by HC Hame Zlin.
