KK- Time Again

03/26/2018 at 12:07pm EDT

Three years ago I started a GoFundMe donation campaign with the purpose to help out KK, bring about some new software and stabilize things.

Since that time, well let me tell you what has happened. First off my health, which is a daily fight and will be moving forward.

I have been able to adjust being a type 2 diabetic and all that comes with it. Vision issues, kidney issues and at time just pure tiredness.

Also, since that time, ad revenue has decreased at least 50% plus direct advertising is sporadic at best.

The volume of people visiting KK has remained about the same and with independent blogs becoming a thing of the past, I keep on plugging away and will continue to do so.

Why?

I love the game and remain committed to spread the word as long as I am able to do so.

Also note, my intentions were and still are to upgrade KK but if I would have used the donated money at the time (the actual GoFundMe amount by donation was around $6K, the rest from advertisers), I would have been out of business about 1 1/2 years ago.

My hosting service alone is $500+ per month and other fees related to KK per month are another $100.

Yearly cost is $7200 and all money donated goes towards this.

So you can see, what I am up against.

Luckily, my lifestyle is simple. Roof over my head, eat, sleep and live a day at a time and I rely on advertising $$$ to do this. I have no other source of income and the simple life I lead so I do what I can and keep a positive outlook.

If you care to donate via GoFundMe or PayPal (note account name is Shalen Franchini and I prefer this method), I would appreciate it. Those of you who have donated at least $25 will continue to be mostly ad free on KK (I have extended that since the last donation campaign, waiving just a year of no ads). Also, any new donation of at least $25 will change your member profile on KK to reflect most of the ads being removed for one year.

Any questions, concerns, comments, as always, I am here and ready to answer.
