Kukla's Korner Hockey

With not much hockey news, I may as well do a major software upgrade tonight.
This upgrade is much needed and because of the uniqueness of how the blogs at KK are set up, this was a major undertaking.
After some major and minor tweaking, it looks as if the upgrade will take place sometime after 6:00pm ET tonight and 6:00pm tomorrow night.
During the time of the upgrade, KK will be down (1-2 hours) and if you try to access KK during that time, you will receive a notice the upgrade is in progress.
One decision I have made with the new software is you need to be a KK member (register here, takes 10 seconds and is free) in order to leave a comment.
This serves two purposes, about 90% of the non-member comments are either spam or consist of flaming. Also, shortly after the upgrade, members will have the ability to ignore comments from any member which has been a popular request by current members.
KK members will have their own homepage too, and from there, they can select the blogs they wish to appear when reading KK. This will eliminate the “sometimes works” preference options you have now.
There are other enhancements but I will keep those as a surprise until the software is upgraded.
