via Rich Hammond of LA Kings Insider,
Brad Richardson had an appendectomy last night, according to Darryl Sutter, and Richardson will be sidelined for an undetermined period of time. That’s the bad news for the Kings. The good news is that Jeff Carter seems ready to play, and Richardson likely would have been scratched from the lineup anyway. Andrei Loktionov has been called up from the AHL as an extra forward.
