Kings Announce Four-Year Extension For Trevor Lewis

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms with forward Trevor Lewis on a four-year contract extension, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

The 29-year-old Lewis (born on Jan. 8, 1987) is a 6-1, 199-pound native of Salt Lake City, Utah who appeared in a career-high 75 regular-season games last season with the Kings. He registered 16 points (8-8=16) and 20 penalty minutes and was selected as the Kings Unsung Hero (voted by the players) for the fifth consecutive year. In five post-season games, Lewis registered two goals (2-0=2), tying for the team-lead.

A first-round (17th overall) selection of the Kings at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Lewis has appeared in 424 regular-season games all with the Kings, posting 89 points (35-54=89) and 91 penalty minutes. Lewis was selected as the Kings Unsung Hero (voted by the players) for the fifth consecutive year. In 75 playoff games he has posted 23 points (11-12=23) and 16 penalty minutes.
