@ Oilers Rock -
I don’t know, it’s all speculation right now and will depend on what the Oilers decide to do. I suppose they could suspend him for the duration of his sentence for not reporting to the team if he is found healthy.
The SBN Oilers blog, Copper & Blue, has been going an excellent job covering this.
Here is their most recent post on Khabibulin: http://www.coppernblue.com/2010/8/27/1654815/khabibulin-guilty-sentencing#storyjump
And here is a story they did a while back, talking to a lawyer in Arizona about the possible penalties he could face and the differences between counties: http://www.coppernblue.com/2010/8/5/936635/will-khabibulins-dui-land-the-wall
Good guys over there, and they do very careful work when looking at the facts of an important story. I think it would be a good blog to check out if you haven’t already.
