Keep Craig Hartsburg In Your Thoughts

Everett Silvertips head coach Craig Hartsburg is to undergo heart surgery after being diagnosed with an ascending aortic aneurysm.

A heart catheterization is to be performed Wednesday, with surgery to follow in the weeks to come. He is expected to be sidelined through the first half of the WHL season.

“The most important thing at this time is for Craig to get healthy,’’ Silvertips vice-president and general manager Doug Soetaert said in a prepared statement. “We’re all in full support of the Hartsburg family and look forward to Craig’s full recovery.’‘
