Keep An Eye On Vancouver

via Pierre LeBrun tweets,

Hearing whispers that perhaps change is coming sooner rather than later with the Canucks, perhaps as soon as today or tomorrow...

Nothing concrete as I said, but those are whispers out of Van city. Will it be the GM? or the coach? We shall see...

More from McKenzie,

One scenario, as yet UNCONFIRMED, is GM Mike Gillis would be fired, (Trevor) Linden would hire new GM and new GM would sort out future of Tortorella.

The coaching change did not help, but instead the team got worse (and more banged up). They don’t seem to lack for the parts in their system, so I’m not sure a GM change would help. Still, when you lose for that long, someone has to be fired.

Wait, when you lose for how long?  This is the first year since ‘08 that they’re going to miss the playoffs.
