from Tom Gulitti of Fire & Ice,
The last time the Devils said goaltender Martin Brodeur had a bruised elbow, he ended up missing 50 game with what turned out to be a torn biceps tendon.
That was in Brodeur’s left arm. Tonight, Brodeur suffered what the team is calling a bruised right elbow on a second period shot from Chicago’s Patrick Kane in the Devils’ 5-3 win tonight at United Center.
Brodeur said this injury is nothing like the one in his left arm that he suffered on Nov. 1, 2008 against Atlanta at Prudential Center. In fact, he said he’s “pretty sure” he’ll be able to play Friday night against the Rangers at Prudential Center.
