Jonathan Quick Diagnosed With Grade 2 Groin Strain

Note, Miguel Cabrera had a grade 2-3 strain and had surgery recently to repair the injury.  A grade 2 strain is partial tearing of muscle fibers.

Something to consider:
All grades of muscle strains involve tears of muscle fibers…

How long will he be out?

My understanding is it’s usually a 3-ish week timeframe for being out.  So, likely not long enough to effect his Olympic bid.

awould, people saying 4-6 weeks but those are estimates only, Kings have not said how long.

Maybe he should stay away from 2nd graders

I just dropped Hutton (Nashville’s beleaguered backup/temporary starter) for Scrivens.  I’m hoping Quick is out 5 weeks, which gives me some games with Scrivens and gives Quick enough time to get in shape for Sochi.

Good advice for anyone who isn’t a parent of a 2nd grader.
