I want to introduce you to a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend 4 days fishing at Lodge at Englefield Bay located at the edge of Haida Gwaii, BC. It's not only a great fishing adventure, it's also a chance to hang out, share stories, and have laughs with some really cool pro hockey players.

This trip runs from June 2 - June 6, 2018, and is one of several planned with former NHL players most of you are familiar with.

How does salmon fishing with Charlie Simmer, Greg Adams, Jamie Huscroft, and Chuck Kobasew sound? Marty McSorley and Owen Nolan will be involved in an upcoming trip, with more names to follow.

Before I discuss more details, I want to tell you why KevaWorks chose Kukla's Korner for this opportunity to its members and readers.

I asked them how they found out about Kukla's Korner. They said they took to the internet, read some reviews on KK and found out KK was highly respected in the hockey world.

Plus our demographics reach the type of person they were looking for--a bit older and more likely to appreciate this type of experience.

Of course I agreed with them and said I would do my best to promote this excursion and turn it into a win/win for everyone.

Now it is your turn.

Check out all the details, ask them any questions you may have, mention KK sent you or leave a comment below.

Trip will include the following:

  • Welcome cocktail reception in Vancouver penthouse suite
  • Overnight in Vancouver – private dinner with renowned chef
  • $500 gift bag and personalized gift (jerseys)
  • $2500 in fish to take home
  • Whiskey tasting experience
  • Oyster shucking presentation and lesson with vodka tasting
  • 4-day fully guided fishing experience
  • 4-day jaw-dropping wildlife viewing
  • Prizes given out everyday

You can see this is a first class all the way so if you have ever wanted to take a trip like this, here is your chance.

The location: Located in a culturally significant location to the Haida people, Englefield allows you to create lasting memories with colleagues or friends during your daily dawn-to-dusk adventures. It is the ideal getaway for beginner or experienced anglers alike.

The fishing: Friendly and experienced guides instruct guests on local fishing techniques and the lodge’s current hot spots for targeting the regions species; ranging from trophy-sized chinook salmon and scrappy coho to mighty halibut and delicious lingcod.

Heck I am sold and would go if it were not for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Maybe if they hook me up with a workstation and a big screen TV....?

How about some Trip Advisor reviews?

Fishing 2017 “Where to begin....... This was our 4th year fishing with WestCoast. Our adventures have taken us to the Englefield Lodge and it is an amazing place !!!! Everything about WestCoast is top of the line from start to finish. The staff greeted us like family and everyone goes above and beyond to make your visit one to remember. The meals... five star dining experience. Hot lunches out on the water, such a treat. When it's cold and rainy a warm lunch makes all the difference in the world. The rain gear, you actually stay dry !! :-) I can not say enough about the Dry Room..... it is the BEST !!!!! If your gear is wet from fishing all day, the dry room has it dry and ready to go the next morning, absolutely the BEST !!! The guides, they are always there for you, always willing to teach. I've been fishing for 20 years and I learned new things on our last trip, thanks Doc !!! The boats and equipment, great stuff !! I'm especially thankful for the personal flotation device we are all equipped with, guest safety is a priority at Englefield. We have already booked our 2018 fishing adventure at Englefield.” - Annette S (TripAdvisor)

What An Experience!! “The location, staff and the amazing number of various fish species all close by makes this lodge a must do!! Put Englefield Bay on your bucket list of fishing trips you just have to take!!! Flying in on the Helijet to the lodge was the perfect way to start this fishing adventure off!! The staff I met were all so professional and helpful, from Lisa the sales manager, Jordan and RJ as resort managers, guides Cyrano and Damien and all of the other dock and food staff. Speaking of food!! We ate very well all week!!! The beauty of Haida Gwaii made catching all those salmon and halibut just that much more amazing!! Already planning on returning next year!!” - Kirby R (TripAdvisor)

Oh, and then there is this.
