Jiri Fischer Plans To Return

Make no mistake about it, if Fischer returns to play, he runs the risk of this happening again. If I had a similar condition and was hearing what I'm hearing from medical professionals, I would never play hockey again. The risk is too great. But Fischer has told the Red Wings that he needs to keep playing, and unless they can change his mind, he probably will return to the ice. I wouldn't be surprised if the Red Wings legal staff and Fischer's agent are at this moment negotiating the terms of his return. It's a sad situation for a 25-year-old guy who has never known anything but hockey in his life.more of Ted...
