Jason Spezza Vetoed A Trade To Nashville

I wonder how many deals Bryan Murray turned down because he did not like the suggested trade?

Spezza has a right to say no to certain teams, just like Murray has a right to turn down trades.

Reports are this trade talk was before the Neal trade.

Before or after Neal should not matter… Neal most likely is not digging being there either.

GTL, you would have to think Neal would have not been traded to the Preds if Spezza was.

Yea, it’s hard to say.  Nothing against Nashville, but they are not really a destination team.  A guy like fisher is there because of his wife.

Gtl, you may be right, but as a “place I play,” it’s great. It’s a nice city plus has the tax benefit. They’ve also got a great goalie and one of the best defensemen in the league. I think it should be a destination for a player like Spezza that could really make a difference.

Maybe with Trotz but he was known or getting the most out of their bargain bin players.
